Tenant Checklist
A simple checklist to help your appointment go smoothly.
This guide explains what tenants need to do before, during and after their Add2Rad installation. Clear steps = faster installs, fewer issues, and a better experience for everyone.
🧹 Before the Visit
Please take a few minutes to prepare your home. This helps the installer complete the work quickly and safely.
- Clear space around radiators where possible
- Move furniture or belongings at least 30 cm away from radiators
- Make sure all rooms are accessible, including bedrooms and hallways
- Keep pets secured in a separate room during the appointment
- Inform us of any access needs (vulnerable adults, shift work, medical conditions)
These simple steps reduce disruption and help the installer finish on time.
📅 On the Day
Here’s what you can expect:
- The installer will arrive within the agreed time window
- You do not need to leave your home
- Heating may be turned off briefly while the work is completed
- The process is usually quiet and low-disruption
- Installers will carry ID and follow housing provider protocols
If you need to speak with someone before the visit, contact your housing officer.
🔧 After the Visit
Once the upgrade is complete, please:
- Check that each room heats up normally over the next day or two
- Let the system run steadily in colder weather for best comfort
- Report any concerns or cold spots to your housing team
- Use the Contact page if you need help or have questions
Most installations work seamlessly straight away — but we’re here to support you if not.
Thank you for helping us improve your home’s heating efficiency with minimal disruption.
